Incepted in 2013, MiniKlub, from the house of First Steps Babywear, has emerged as a fast-growing omnichannel brand with a presence in over 450 plus multi-brand outlets, leading e-retailers and exclusive brand stores – both physical and online. The babywear brand is present in 26 cities with 58 exclusive brand stores.
Anjana oversees the design department at First Steps Babywear. She has also worked closely with upmarket Indian players like Shoppers Stop and Lifestyle and is thus equipped with an excellent understanding of the pulse of Indian market as well.

Thoughts on AI
AI is a powerful tool that’s transforming industries. In the kidswear sector, it can bring significant advancements in personalised shopping, predictive trends and even in sustainable production practices. However, it’s essential to balance technology with human touch that is so crucial in our line of work.
Advice to Young Professionals
Stay curious and be patient. Building something meaningful takes time and every challenge is a stepping stone.
Thoughts on Work-Life Balance
Work-life balance isn’t a destination; it’s a daily commitment. For me, it’s about setting boundaries and prioritising quality time with family. It’s crucial to remember that personal well-being is just as important as professional success.
Life Mantra
Embrace the journey and lead with purpose. Every step, no matter how small, shapes who we become.
Daily Routine
My day typically starts early with a moment of quiet reflection and planning. I like to stay active, so I squeeze in a workout before heading to office. My workdays are quite dynamic, filled with meetings, brainstorming sessions and strategic planning to drive MiniKlub’s vision. I end my day with family time, which is always a priority, followed by some light reading or catching up on industry trends.
