
British brand Laura Ashley has introduced an exclusive menswear capsule collection in collaboration with American fashion label Rag & Bone for its fall and winter 2023 lineup, expanding its reach to a new audience. This unique collection comprises ten pieces featuring classic floral patterns and a commitment to work-wear aesthetics, encompassing hoodies, shirts, trousers, and accessories.
Carolyn D’Angelo, senior managing director at Gordon Brothers Brands and president of Laura Ashley Global, expressed her enthusiasm in a press release stating, “This collaboration marks an incredibly exciting moment for the Laura Ashley brand, particularly as we commemorate our 70th anniversary. While Laura Ashley fashion has traditionally been associated with women’s clothing, the artistry in our iconic florals holds broad appeal. Rag & Bone has demonstrated how heritage designs can seamlessly integrate into menswear, offering a fresh interpretation of our classic aesthetic.”
Kyle Sweeney, senior vice president of men’s merchandising and design at Rag & Bone, drew inspiration from the iconic nature of the Laura Ashley brand and the nostalgia evoked by archival prints. Their aim was to bring these expertly crafted prints into the realm of modern menswear, creating desirable pieces that seamlessly blend the spirit of Rag & Bone with the whimsical essence of Laura Ashley.
Notable pieces within the collection include a nostalgic hand-embroidered floral sweater crafted from 100 per cent wool, a floral-printed striped rugby shirt, and floral-printed trousers and a matching jacket featuring the signature ‘Summer Palace’ Laura Ashley print since 1988.
The collection is now available in the UK and across global markets, including Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, and the US. In the UK, the collection is available at Rag & Bone’s London stores as well as online at Mr Porter.
