Kering Group, which owns reputed global brands like Gucci, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent, continues to woo its Japanese loyalists and admirers.
The French fashion retailer has announced the opening of its new headquarters in the Tokyo’s fashion district – the much-in demand Omotesando.
Omotesando is not new to Kering! The fashion district already houses stores of Saint Laurent, Boucheron and Gucci with Alexander McQueen being the latest to open its store in the district last month.
It doesn’t end here!
There are reports that Balenciaga will be coming up with one of its largest stores in the world in Omotesando next month and now with the opening of the new headquarters, lot could be in store for its fashion-loving Japanese customers.
The new building, with 4 floors devoted to office, has its interiors designed by Fara Tarie. While there are nature elements in the design concept, the perfect blend of European and Japanese cultures makes it a visual delight.
There are neutral colours used and the use of natural and recycled materials make it eco-friendly too.
Besides its commitment to sustainability, Kering’s support for women in arts and culture could be seen from the display of artworks by Japanese women artists in the office area.
While the 6th floor is dedicated to host events for the retailers, the rooftop terrace will make the shoppers and visitors feel close to nature.
Known for its ready-to-wear, shoes and watches, the Group generated €15.9 billion in 2019.
