
Swedish fashion retailer KappAhl has recently unveiled its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of the current fiscal year ended August 2016. The company noted a surge of 8.6 per cent in net sales to SEK 1,248 million as against SEK 1,149 million in the corresponding period last year.
In the period under review, brand’s gross profit amounted to SEK 724 million compared to last year’s SEK 659 million. The company generated operating profit of SEK 99 million as against SEK 52 million in the corresponding period last year.
In the full year period 2015-16, KappAhl’s net sales zoomed 3 per cent to SEK 4,724 million against last year’s SEK 4,588 million. The company’s gross profit totalled to SEK 2,918 million compared to SEK 2,756 million in the same period last year. Operating profit generated by the apparel brand amounted to SEK 350 million as against SEK 198 million in the corresponding period last year.

“Our initiatives during the year focused on the customer meeting, for example in sales and service, inspiring and guiding store presentation and online communication. These made a positive contribution to the year’s earnings. We have continued to open stand-alone concept stores. At year-end we have six stores; four Newbie and two Hampton Republic 27,” commented Danny Feltmann, President and CEO, KappAhl.
