JD Sports will launch its largest store in the world in Manchester, calling it the “ultimate destination for fresh fits and exclusive flex” and a model for its global retail growth.
Following a renovation and expansion of its previous Trafford Centre location, which tripled in size, the 41,000 square foot store was established. At 92 meters (302 feet), it has the biggest shopfront in the entire JD Sports retail estate.
In addition to JD brand exclusives from Unlike Humans and other brands, customers may find exclusive takeovers from Nike, Adidas, PUMA, and On Running inside the store.
Eight-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt and YouTuber Beta Squad, who are well-known for their amusing videos about obstacles, have been invited to perform at the store’s opening ceremony.
Régis Schultz, CEO of JD Sports Fashion, described the opening as a “proud and landmark moment,” adding that this launch demonstrates JD’s unwavering commitment to provide distinctive products and outstanding retail experiences to customers worldwide, supported by solid brand alliances. It also honours JD Sport’s history, as the city has played a significant role in the company’s development since its first location opened in Bury in 1981. The Trafford Centre shop embodies JD’s future as we continue to grow globally: it is fearless, progressive, and closely links to the communities it serves.
