The parent company of the global fast fashion brand Zara, Inditex, intends to introduce Bershka and Pull&Bear to the Indian market. For both clothing labels, the retail behemoth intends to create physical locations in 2024.
The company intends to find Pull&Bear retail spaces in sizable malls that range in size from 5,000 to 8,000 square feet.
Young adult casual and semi-formal clothing and accessories are sold by Pull&Bear and Bershka, respectively. When the companies debut in India, they will primarily target Gen Z consumers.
Inditex has had robust sales growth in India, where its flagship brand Zara announced a 40% increase in revenues for the fiscal year 2023. 13 years after launching in India, Zara is already a well-known brand on the high street. In 1985, Amancio Ortega formally established InditexSA, which today operates as a retailer in 93 international markets.
“They are looking for spaces for both Pull&Bear and Bershka in a few prominent malls in Delhi and Mumbai,” an anonymous source close to the development said.
