Inc & Co, an investment firm, has revealed its acquisition of Studio Pia, a British luxury lingerie brand known for its ethical and sustainable practices. This strategic move marks Inc & Co’s expansion into the retail sector, aiming to establish new benchmarks of excellence in the market.
The acquisition precedes Studio Pia’s plans for a brand refresh later this year, along with the relaunch of its website to enhance its digital presence. Founder Pia Harpur anticipates the AW24 collection will introduce exciting updates to the brand’s existing designs, viewing the partnership as a revitalization that reinforces their commitment to ethical luxury on a global scale.
Established seven years ago by Harpur, Studio Pia has been dedicated to crafting ethical and avant-garde lingerie through meticulous craftsmanship. Harpur will maintain her leadership role within the company under its new ownership, collaborating with Inc & Co to enhance the brand’s visibility and expand its international reach.
Looking ahead, the initial strategy involves business expansion through wholesale distribution, pop-up stores, concessions worldwide, and partnerships with premium third-party websites.
“This marks a significant milestone for Inc & Co as we continue our expansion into retail alongside Studio Pia whose management retains a level of equity,” said CEO Jack Mason.
