The Iconic, a renowned online marketplace in Australia and New Zealand, has inked a wholesale agreement with COS, a subsidiary of the Swedish retail giant H&M. This move comes after the successful introduction of ‘& Other Stories,’ another H&M-owned brand, on The Iconic earlier this year. H&M boasts ownership and operation of various fashion and apparel brands including Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday, and ARKET.
Gayle Burchell, the Chief Commercial and Sustainability Officer at The Iconic, expressed optimism about this partnership, foreseeing an expanded array of shopping choices for their customers. Burchell also emphasised their dedication to crafting comprehensive, customer-centric experiences across all platforms.
For COS, this collaboration signifies a notable stride in their global wholesale expansion strategy, building upon previous partnerships signed in 2022 with Nordstrom, Breuninger, and Yoox.
Lea Rytz Goldman, the Managing Director of COS, described this strategic partnership recently as another stride in incorporating an established retailer in a significant market. This will widen their wholesale portfolio and expand their existing online presence to captivate customers through novel avenues.
COS presently operates in eight brick-and-mortar stores across Australia and two in New Zealand. Now, shoppers can browse and purchase COS products online at The Iconic, featuring a thoughtfully curated selection of womenswear and menswear from the latest SS ’23 collection.
