Guess Inc. has announced that Dennis Secor will step into the role of interim chief financial officer, effective 26th August, succeeding Markus Neubrand, who is leaving to pursue a new opportunity closer to his family.
The Los Angeles-based fashion brand has begun the search for a permanent CFO, with the help of an executive search firm, and plans to base the new hire at its headquarters in Lugano, Switzerland. Neubrand will remain with Guess until 30th September to ensure a smooth transition.
“At this transformative time for Guess, I’m eager to hit the ground running as we work to build on our momentum, strengthen our brands, and continue delivering value for our shareholders,” Secor said.
Secor, a seasoned finance leader in the apparel industry, previously served as Guess’s CFO from 2006 to 2012 and held the interim CFO position from 2022 to 2023. His extensive experience includes CFO roles at various publicly traded and private companies across multiple industries, including Fossil Group, Electronic Arts Canada, and Torrid.
Carlos Alberini, CEO of Guess, expressed gratitude for Neubrand’s contributions, stating, “On behalf of the entire Guess team, I want to thank Markus for his role in our company’s growth and success. We wish him the best in his future endeavours. We are also grateful to Dennis for stepping into this interim role. With his vast experience and leadership, along with our strong finance team, we are confident that we will maintain our progress without interruption.”
