Before this, Verma was Category Manager at Bestseller India, which houses fashion brands like Jack & Jones, Vero Moda, ONLY, and Selected Homme. His experience at Bestseller exposed him to India’s rapidly evolving fashion and bridge-to-premium retail categories. That richness of understanding now informs Gokyo’s vision to establish a uniquely Indian brand in the technical wear category.
At Bestseller, Verma was instrumental in seasonal merchandising and category planning. Particularly, he spearheaded the launch of UNMATCHED by Jack & Jones, India’s first make-to-order premium fashion brand. His remit involved repositioning the brand’s offerings, attracting high-end customers away from international rivals, and growing the digital-first brand into a robust omnichannel brand.
Verma’s expertise is in leading scalable business growth through retail innovation, operational effectiveness, and creating consumer-first, omnichannel brands. His experience in creating sustainable retail ecosystems that are able to drive customer engagement and brand loyalty goes well with Gokyo’s changing ambitions.
