
Global Brands Group, an American apparel and accessories firm, has unveiled its results for the 15 months period, ended March 31, 2016. Net revenue of the company in the reporting period stood at US $ 4.1 million. Its operating profit for the period was US $ 75 million. Net profit was US $ 25 million.
In the period under review, the company continued to sharpen its focus on the key product categories and high-performing brands, while expanding our platforms where relevant. The kids category remains a highly successful franchise delivering consistently positive results, while its footwear and accessories business also performed well, particularly key footwear brands.

Additionally, Global Brands Group made progress with expanding the direct-to-consumer reach and increasing the product offering of its key controlled brands, such as Frye, Spyder and Juicy Couture. Under Seven Global, it extended the David Beckham brand to menswear product category through a partnership with Kent & Curwen, and recently to the men’s grooming category through a partnership with the premium men’s skincare brand Biotherm Homme.
Bruce Rockowitz, Group CEO and Vice Chairman averred, “Going forward, we expect our new licenses and brands will have a positive impact on revenue. We also expect the margin to continue its upward trend due to our emphasis on higher-margin businesses.”
The company has licences for brands like Calvin Klein, Cole Haan, Michael Kors, Guess, Coach, Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, Nine West and Under Armour. The controlled brands are Frye, Juicy Couture, Spyder, Aquatalia, David Beckham, Jennifer Lopez, Jones New York, Rachel Zoe, Buffalo David Bitton, Joe’s, Rosetti, Tignanello, and Kathy van Zeeland.
