
German fashion house Hugo Boss has witnessed strong sales in the first quarter.
The retailer posted currency-adjusted sales increase of 52 per cent to €772 million in the first quarter of 2022.
The sales increase, notably, has been 17 per cent currency-adjusted when compared to the same period of 2019.
The Group currency rose by 55 per cent.
Region-wise, Europe saw currency-adjusted sales rise by 69 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y), while the same was 21 per cent up on a three-year basis.
Further substantiating, Great Britain and France posted a three-year-stack growth of 32 per cent and 13 per cent, respectively. In Germany, sales were in line with 2019 levels.
Revenues in the Americas grew by 56 per cent currency-adjusted Y-o-Y, while the same was 17 per cent up versus 2019 levels.
Sales in the Asia/Pacific region rose by 3 per cent Y-o-Y and only 1 per cent below that of 2019.
Hugo Boss is one of the largest German clothing companies with global sales of €2.9 billion recorded in 2019.
