G-III Apparel Group, the American clothing retailer that designs and makes apparels for women and men, will see its Chief Operating Officer (COO) step down soon.
Wayne Miller will, reportedly, step down as the COO of the company from 1 July 2021. The Group hasn’t yet revealed anything about the new COO.
Following his exit from the coveted post, Wayne will continue to serve the retailer as its strategic adviser, where he will help in the transition of his daily duties and advise the firm on corporate strategy.
Wayne, who has been associated with G-III Apparel Group for last 23 years, will continue reporting to CEO Morris Goldfarb. Notably, he was the COO of the company since 2003 and probably that’s one of the reasons why his exit has caught industry attention.
Applauding Wayne’s achievements that have been instrumental in company’s success, Morris said that G-III Apparel Group was happy to have Wayne as its key strategic adviser.
G-III Apparel Group has a portfolio consisting of over 30 licensed and proprietary brands including Guess?, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Andrew Marc and Levi Strauss & Co., amongst many others.
Founded in 1956, it is known for ready-to-wear, outerwear, swimwear, sportswear, fashion accessories and more.
