Decathlon is here with a rental service to make a range of sports products more accessible and affordable.
The French apparel retailer’s move is expected to help Brits in this tough cost-of-living crisis.
Notably, the customers can ‘pay-per-use’ on the service that charges every 24 hours, instead of charging every hour.
Here it’s worth stating that the first 24 hours –for a kayak – is charged at £ 30, and then at just £ 15 on the second day.
On subsequent days, it’s £ 10 per day. A week-long rental would thus cost 56p per hour.
Though the service is presently available in London, Poole, Glasgow and Southampton, it will soon be rolled out to more stores.
Decathlon offers products like stand up paddleboards (SUPs), kayaks and e-bikes as a part of its new rental service to make it more accessible for shoppers.
The retailer believes its mission is to not only make sports more accessible to many, but also offer rental services in the most environment-friendly way.
With over 1,697 stores in 60 countries and regions, Decathlon is the largest sporting goods retailer in the world.
