Footwear retailer Metro Brands Limited has appointed Harshvardhan Chauhan as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Senior Management Personnel, advancing its executive leadership as the company pursues broader brand building and growth strategies.
Chauhan’s appointment, effective 23rd February 2026, was disclosed through regulatory filings to the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange of India, in compliance with listing regulations. He will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Nissan Joseph and will work closely with the senior leadership team on strategic marketing direction, brand positioning and consumer engagement across Metro Brands’ retail and digital channels.
With over 18 years of experience in marketing and business leadership, Chauhan brings a diverse cross-sector background encompassing retail, fashion, lifestyle, grocery, home and e-commerce segments. He has held senior roles at major organisations including Bharat YEF, Trident Group, RPSG, DLF Shopping Malls, ShopClues, Godrej Group, Reckitt Benckiser and Accenture.
In his new role, industry observers say Chauhan is expected to play a key part in strengthening Metro Brands’ omnichannel outreach and scaling its consumer-centric marketing initiatives amid intensifying competition in the Indian retail market. The leadership addition aligns with the company’s recent strategic pushes, including digital expansion and product portfolio enhancement.
