The high-end fashion retailer SMCP has unveiled an intriguing plan to teach fashion enthusiasts how to run fashion stores. In collaboration with EMA SUP Paris and the Institut Français de la Mode, it has greeted the inaugural class of its SMCP Retail Lab academy (the Paris Fashion School).
The concept was created in November 2021 during a hackathon with the theme ‘Challenges of Retail’.
According to Guichot, the company pushes its workers to think creatively and cultivate an entrepreneurial mentality. The beginning of our academy is the ideal illustration of our zeal and spirit of initiative, which equips us to meet the difficulties of our market.
It is based on an individualised omnichannel marketing training programme EMA SUP Paris offers. The Paris Fashion School’s Institut Français de la Mode will also hold several events on fashion culture and the latest sustainability problems. Additionally, SMCP will be in charge of educating students about the brands, their histories and how they work throughout the course of the year.
