Creative Director of Italian fashion house Emilio Pucci, Massimo Georgetti bids goodbye to the LVMH-owned company within two years of the ingenious collaboration. Georgetti, who had succeeded Peter Dundas in 2015, is leaving Pucci to focus on his namesake line MSGM.
“This experience with Emilio Pucci, one of the most representative and historic brands in fashion, was an inspiring journey, which has also contributed to my professional growth. Today my brand needs more and more of my attention and all my energy. I would like to thank Laudomia Pucci, the LVMH Group, Mauro Grimaldi and all of the Emilio Pucci team for supporting me in the beautiful adventure,” elaborates Giorgetti. MSGM is a contemporary ready to wear sportswear-inspired label, started in 2009 by the designer, and is known for its eclectic prints and chock-a-block colour schemes.

Although a successor is yet to be named, Mauro Grimaldi, CEO of Emilio Pucci has called the departure mutual, saying, “We have decided in total agreement to end the partnership. I would like to thank, personally and on behalf of the company, Massimo Giorgetti for the great professionalism shown during these two years of collaboration.”
Giorgetti received mixed reviews for his collections at Pucci in these years but his work will be remembered for the brightly coloured ’60s-inspired ski suits and ocean-friendly separates reminiscent of a vacation in Southern Italy.
