
India’s leading textile manufacturer, Arvind Limited revealed a bright forthcoming for the garments sector and explained that denim may end up being the driving force behind fashion trends across the nation. He expressed his views at the ‘Arvind Denim for Good 2018’, an event collectively organised by Arvind Limited and Invista. The event displayed the new range of Arvind labels like ‘Boomerang’ ‘Azurite’ and ‘Hybrid Chinos’.
Amir Akhtar, CEO, Denims, Arvind Limited, said, “There is a bright future for clothing in the country and denim is the enormous force of fashion movement in India. While the nation is recording growth at around 7 per cent, denim is flourishing at 12 to 14 per cent.”
The textile company also revealed its plan for the next five years,as part of which it aims to take it’s business Rs. 6,000 crore to Rs. 10,000 crore.
As per the available data, Arvind manufactures over 100 million metres of material and 6 million pairs of jeans annually.
Additionally, the company also collaborated with Directa Plus, an Italian manufacturer and retailer of graphene-based goods, in order to inherit high-performance benefits of Directa Plus’ G+ graphene-based products into their denims.
