Macy’s former Merchandising Officer, Tim Baxter has been roped in by Delta Galil as CEO for their 7 For All Mankind and Splendid brands. Tim will replace Paula Schneider, who stepped down from her post last year.
Issac Dabah, CEO, Delta Galil, praised Tim’s strategic abilities and is hopeful that this move (making Tim the CEO) will pay dividend. “We are delighted to have Tim on board, a powerful and strategic industry leader who will oversee Delta Galil Premium Brands, where a remarkable opportunity growth by expanding categories and new global markets is in our sights,” he added.
Previously, Tim has had partnerships which brought a lot of success at Macy’s with the world’s most renowned brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. It is being expected by Delta Galil that his tenure will take 7 For All Mankind and Splendid into their next phase of growth.
The new CEO brings with him 26 years of experience, where he has worked in various merchandising categories which include, Executive VC and General Merchandising Manager of ready-made apparel. At Macy’s, he was in-charge of their fashion office, various cultural business developments and licensed business.
On his appointment as the CEO, Tim Baxter, said that 7 For All Mankind and Splendid have a strong customer base. “I will look to thrive on the relationship these two brands have with their customer and explore every possible opportunity to grow in all channels,” he mentioned.
Interestingly, Tim Baxter will be working on two out of the three brands (7 For All Mankind, Splendid and Ella Moss) that Delta Galil acquired from VF Corp. back in 2016.
