Converse, makers of classic sneakers, is debuting the ‘Converse Essentials Collection’, a clothing assortment that takes inspiration from the brand’s rich footwear heritage.
Akin to its ‘Chuck Taylor All Star’ sneakers, the new line will adapt to consumers’ bodies, becoming softer with each wear. Converse Essential’s apparel was created with fabric that fades naturally, has durable stitching and sustains a proper shrinkage fit.

With styles for both men and women, the new collection features six core mainstays, including tees, crewnecks, full-zip hoodies, pullover hoodies, pants and backpacks. The pieces are created with a modern fit, which allow the wearer to layer apparel and still have freedom of movement.
The articles will include a muted nickel YKK zipper and matte eyelets. Bulk and discomfort are eliminated with a flat seam construction and pre-washed material which will prevent major shrinking, allowing the wearer keep the garment for an extended period.
To celebrate the launch of the new collection, Converse along with iconic designer Hiroshi Fujiwara is unveiling a limited-edition collaboration, ‘Converse Essentials x Fragment’ which is a hybrid of Hiroshi’s vintage garment detailing and Converse’s timeless look. The line contains functional everyday apparel for consumers with active lifestyles, including black tees and pullover shirts.
The Converse Essentials X Fragment collection is debuting at Converse stores, select retailers and Converse.com today, and Fall 2016 Converse Essentials collection will be launched in-stores and online the following day.
