As the crisis between Russia and Ukraine widens, British fashion e-tailer Asos has paused its operations in both the countries.
While speaking to media, an Asos spokesperson said that safety and well-being of its colleagues and partners remain the top priority for Asos.
She added “Immediately following the invasion, Asos suspended sales in Ukraine as it became impossible to serve customers there.”
With tension escalating between both the countries, the e-tailer has decided that it is not practical or right to trade in Russia and therefore had to take the decision of halting the sales there.
Here it is important to state that Polish fashion retailers LPP and CCC too had recently halted their operations in Ukraine following the invasion of latter by Russia.
Asos sells over 850 brands in addition to its own range of apparels and accessories. It also ships to 196 countries from fulfilment centres in the UK, USA and Europe.
