
The company, which sells the Onitsuka Tiger brand, stated on Friday that it anticipates record operating profit of ¥ 95 billion (US $ 596 million) for the year ending in December. Additionally, it raised net profit and sales guidance to all-time highs.
The company saw that the weakening value of the yen is helping. Outside of Japan, demand increased in the second quarter, rising 38 per cent in Greater China, 30 per cent in Southeast and South Asia, and 16 per cent in the United States compared to the same period last year. Local sales increased by 24 per cent.
Even as late as 2020, when revenue growth had started to decline, the picture for Asics wasn’t exactly that promising. According to the firm, resurrection models like the Gel-1130 and Gel-Kayano 14, which are worn by fitness enthusiasts and celebrities like Hailey Bieber, should continue to perform well in the future.
