
The recent 30th anniversary of Anthropologie Group has been marked by the announcement of the appointment of new executives to lead the business into its upcoming era of category expansion and market potential.
Tricia Smith, president and chief executive officer of Anthropologie, revealed that Anu Narayanan has been elevated to the position of president of women’s: clothes, accessories, weddings, and beauty.
According to a statement from the company, Narayanan joined Anthropologie in 2018 and has since taken charge of the firm’s women’s apparel and accessories division as well as the beauty and weddings divisions.
Her teams have produced record highs in sales and customer acquisition under her direction, and she has been a visionary leader in the creation, implementation, and accomplishment of Anthropologie’s growth objectives.
The business also stated that Holly Thrasher has been appointed chief merchandiser of weddings and clothing. Thrasher left Nordstrom in July 2021 after working there for 18 years.
She has been a key member of Narayanan’s team, managing the development of leadership, product evolution, and digital merchandising, all of which have tremendously aided the success of Anthropologie’s clothes division. With this appointment, Thrasher will assume the category of weddings.
Aaron Mutscheller will join the Anthropologie Group as president of Anthropologie home and terrain, the business has disclosed. He will be in charge of the home and garden sector across all channels of distribution in this position. For the brand, Mutscheller will oversee design, purchasing, production, and international sourcing. He has held senior positions at Williams Sonoma, Serena & Lily, and most recently Nickey Kehoe, bringing with him over twenty years of demonstrated experience in business development, brand strategy, product innovation, and operational excellence in the home retail and interiors industry.
