The National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program has awarded a US $ 1 million grant to AI precision-fit footwear company IAMBIC in order to assist scale its technology.
Using powerful AI technology and science-led, data-driven design features, co-founders Maeve Wang (CEO) and Chaudhry Raza Hassan (CTO) have spent more than four years developing and refining their proprietary approach to footwear, resulting in a shoe that is precisely tailored to each person’s foot shape and biomechanics.
According to them, the money would enable it to expand the design and production of its innovative precision-fit shoes, paving the way for revolutionary shifts in the footwear and fashion industries.
With this finance, IAMBIC will be able to expand its capabilities and reach a wider market with AI-tailored shoes. It will also collaborate with other fashion and footwear businesses and open the door for mass customisation.
