Germany-based sportswear and athletic goods brand Adidas launched a new Manchester United Away jersey for the season 23/24 taking inspiration from the club’s past heritage.
The newly launched jersey comes in a combination of block green vertical stripes with white and red lines running along the jersey in vertical and horizontal lay.
The addition of red lines to the newly designed jersey is to highlight the red-brick architecture of the city.
The shirts incorporate innovative and different technologies including HEAT.RDY technology in the shirts worn on the fields to allow comfort to the players.
The shirts that belong to the kit version for the fans use AEROREADY technology which ensures the use of sweat-wicking or absorbent materials in order to negate the sweat and keep the body dry.
The kit will be officially worn for the first time on the club’s US pre-season tour during the match between Manchester and Wrexham A.F.C on 25th July at Snapdragon Stadium San Diego.
The jersey is available for purchase at Manchester United stores, a few Adidas retail stores, and online at Adidas Manchester United kits.
Inigo Turner, Design Director at Adidas said, “We’re incredibly excited to return to a design that is fundamental to the heritage of this great club. Vertical stripes are in the DNA of Manchester United and we hope this bold new look captures the imaginations of fans as they travel the globe supporting the team. We have intentionally taken cues from the city itself, to provide both the players and travelling fans with a piece of home, wherever they are wearing it.”
