The Textile and Apparel Policy of Assam, 2025 was approved by the Assam Cabinet to support the state’s textile and apparel sector. In order to facilitate new investments in the state’s textile and apparel industry, the new policy is anticipated to establish an investor-friendly atmosphere with convenient access to labour and raw materials.
In addition to securing simple access to labour and raw materials, the policy has been put into place to promote new investments.
The Government wants to promote industrial growth, job creation, and sustainable development in the textile and apparel industry by solidifying Assam’s position as a hub for these industries. Additionally, the action fits in with the state’s larger plan to support industry and draw in new investors.
