Huntsman Textile Effects has launched eCool70™concept which allows mills to achieve a range of brilliant shades while using less water and energy for better environmental performance, lower processing costs and enhanced productivity. The range is comprised of AVITERABrilliant Yellow SE, NOVACRONBrilliant Blue EC-B and Brilliant Turquoise EC-GN. Dyes for this specific shade segment have traditionally had low fixation rates, leading to moderate wash off, limited build up and bad reproducibility, which raises processing costs and reduces productivity. eCool70 on the other hand offers a sustainable and high-performance solution which lets dyeing and washing-off to take place at just 70°C (158°F), significantly lower than the 90°C necessary for conventional hot dyes. The company claims that the wash-off cycle is also considerably reduced, which results in lower overall water consumption and shorter processing time to enhance productivity.
