According to the official (provisional) data, October 2014 witnessed minor fluctuations in RMG export compared to same period last year. In October 2014, it remained at US $ 1194.61 million, 0.07 per cent up from the October 2013 which was US $ 1193.83 million. While in terms of Rupee, it showed negative growth of 0.38 per cent and was valued at Rs. 7327.99 crore in October 2014 compared to Rs.7355.88 of October 2013. Export of man-made yarn/fabrics/made-ups fell by 0.45 per cent since in it was October 2014 it was US $ 465.31 million compare to US $ 467.39 million of same month of 2013 registering a fall of 0.89 per cent. On the other side import of Textile yarn fabrics, made-up articles increased 17.97 per cent from US $ 137.47 million of last year’s October to US $ 162.18 million of this year’s October.
