Aarong, the leading lifestyle brand in Bangladesh, is poised to unveil what it claims will be the world’s largest craft store, focusing predominantly on apparel. The grand opening will be in the Dhanmondi area of Dhaka, with the flagship outlet spanning an impressive 60,000 square feet across eight floors. This ambitious project is expected to redefine the retail landscape for fashion in Bangladesh.
The new store, which is positioned as a tribute to the country’s rich artistic heritage, will take the place of the existing Aarong outlet in Dhanmondi 2, with the opening timed ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations. Aarong is looking to attract a significant influx of customers eager for its highly anticipated Eid collection.
In addition to showcasing its extensive range of traditional and contemporary apparel, the new outlet will feature unique craft installations, including a four-storey Nakshi Kantha and an intricately designed clay pottery wall. Aarong will also maintain a dedicated children’s wear section and feature its popular sub-brands, such as TAAGA, TAAGA MAN, and HERSTORY.
Currently, Aarong operates 30 outlets across the country, and this flagship store marks a significant milestone in the brand’s growth and commitment to promoting Bangladeshi craftsmanship and fashion.
