With the opening of three key locations in Europe, Inditex is spearheading the chain’s global expansion in home furnishings and design. First, a specific location for ‘The Apartment’ was introduced for the first time outside of Spain when it opened in Paris on Thursday, May 23. This unique design was formerly limited to the fourth floor of Zara’s Compostela street flagship location in A Coruña.
The Rive Gauche in Paris is the chosen location for this project; it is close to Zara’s rue de Sèvres location and Le Bon Marché, the renowned luxury department store owned by LVMH. Inditex wants to draw in the affluent customer of Saint-Germain-des-Prés’s 7th arrondissement, which is well-known for its high-end boutiques, design galleries, and décor shops like Roche Bobois and BoConcept.
Inditex claims that this is a “pop-up flagship” that will only last a single year—a unique approach for the company. Zara Home should be able to test the market, its products, and the placement of the store with this move. Details on the rental have not been revealed.
The store’s new and limited edition collections are shown in the centre section. The latest sports capsule from Zara Home, which is available online and features goods like towels and hoodies, dominates this area with its lifestyle vibe.
Inditex now runs 273 outlets in the French market as a result of this opening. In particular, there are 15 Zara Home locations in the area, with 8 of them being in the Paris region. The brand intends to increase the size of its boutique in the Beaugrenelle retail centre in the second part of the year.
The aspirations of Zara Home are not limited to France. Under the concept of “Gelateria Milano,” the brand will unveil its new flagship location at 12 Corso Matteotti in Milan on 30th May. Furthermore, the opening of a new flagship in Antwerp, Belgium, is scheduled for this month.
