Dior Men has introduced an unexpected collaboration collection with Stone Island, the brand known for its maritime-inspired apparel originating from the inland city of Ravarino.
Established by Massimo Osti in 1982, Stone Island draws its name from the works of the renowned Polish-British novelist Joseph Conrad. The brand is distinguished by its utilization of technical and reflective fabrics, often dyed and distressed to evoke an anti-fashion ethos. Its emblem, a yellow and green compass with a nautical star, reflects its aesthetic roots in military attire, workwear, and water-based sports gear.
Stone Island was acquired by Remo Ruffini’s Moncler group in 2021. The brand has developed a penchant for collaborations, having previously partnered with Nike, Adidas, New Balance, and Supreme, the latter of which collaborated with Jones during his tenure as the menswear designer at Louis Vuitton.
This exclusive collection will debut in Dior boutiques starting from 14th June in Milan, 18th June in London, 27th June in the US, and 4th July worldwide.
