Evo Fashion, a collaboration between London’s Fashion District and work-space provider The Trampery’s Evo Learning arm, is to launch a five-month innovation programme “to empower the next generation of sustainable fashion brands and fashion technology businesses”.
With the goal of “tackle the underlying challenges that emerging fashion labels face,” the curriculum offers “high-impact training, valuable industry insights, and networking opportunities.” This includes finding success with international players, integrating sustainable company concepts, and getting early-stage funding.
It will give fashion entrepreneurs the resources and structure they need “to advance their business goals, upskill ethical working standards and achieve supply chain sustainability in a highly competitive industry.” It is supported by the British Fashion Council, the Mayor of London, and London & Partners.
The fully-funded programme, valued at over £ 2,500 for each participating brand, will take place at The Trampery’s workspace in Hampton Wick, east London, and is designed to fit around work schedules. It will include a two-day launch weekend, peer-to-peer workshops with industry experts, and monthly leadership mentoring. Additionally, it will open up investment and transform growth opportunities for the participating businesses.
The selection of eligible participants will be based on four primary criteria, which are: support for inclusivity and diversity; development potential; positive social and environmental impact; and company profile.
Janet Coyle, Managing Director of Grow London at London & Partners also said, “This is a much-needed programme, particularly when the fashion industry is responsible for 8-10 per cent of global emissions.”
