John Lewis, the fashion retailer, is introducing 20 new designers to its collections for autumn/winter 2023, in a bid to become the ‘leading high street name for mid-premium clothing’.
The action is a part of the company’s plan to boost fashion spending and improve its market share among younger consumers, notably those in their thirties and forties. Sister Jane, Batsheva x Laura Ashley, and Olivia Rubin are recent additions to the retailer. Vivere, a new line from Savannah Miller, will be exclusively stocked at John Lewis.
Some of the new labels will be grouped under a brand-new in-store and online boutique concept in an effort to point customers towards distinctive selections that attract them.
John Lewis commercial director Kathleen Mitchell said, “Last year was our biggest year for fashion and we’ve seen a really strong response to Spring Summer – so we believe we are on the right track.”
Over the last twelve months, John Lewis has launched 109 new fashion brands across menswear and womenswear.
