In Noida, a fire broke out in the Vostro Design and Fashion, located in Sector-63 late on Wednesday night. Four employees of the company got scorched in the accident and one of them died in hospital. It is being said that prima facie, a short circuit caused the fire.
As per the media reports, the fire was doused in about half an hour with the help of two fire engines and fire fighting equipment installed in the factory.
At the time of the accident, about 30 workers were working at the unit and few of whom jumped from the first floor to the adjacent factory.
Due to the clothes, chemicals and cardboard kept on the ground floor, the fire started spreading rapidly.
Pradeep Kumar Choubey, Chief Fire Officer said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the fire broke out due to short circuit. The firefighters worked hard to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby factories and upper floors.
