
As many as 22 companies from Bangladesh representing various sectors such as apparel, textile, jute, home decor, and gifts are participating in the Global Sourcing Expo Sydney 2023, a three-day event, which commenced at the International Convention Centre in Sydney, Australia, recently.
These companies are exhibiting their products under the initiatives of the Bangladesh High Commission in Canberra. Notably, eight exhibitors in the readymade garments segment have received funding from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh.
The inauguration of the Bangladeshi product exhibition at the Global Sourcing Expo was carried out by M. Allama Siddiki, the Bangladesh High Commissioner to Australia, and Marie Kinsella, Chief Executive of the organizing firm.
The event was attended by the Consul General of Bangladesh in Sydney, the Commercial Counsellor, and other officials from the High Commission.
The global sourcing trade show in Australia is held biannually, with expos taking place in both Sydney and Melbourne and serves as a platform for more than 350 manufacturers and suppliers from around the world to come together, offering businesses an opportunity to showcase their products, explore new markets, and establish valuable connections.
