
US retailer Target has announced its plans to hire 100,000 seasonal employees, which is exactly the same it planned last year.
The retailer – all set to manage the holiday load – has said that the number comprises store employees and workers in Target’s supply chain facilities.
Target has, reportedly, spoken about flexible and stable schedules in addition to providing training opportunities.
Here it is worth stating that the retailer will also be bringing back Target Deal Days – the three-day event that begins 6 October. Importantly, the event will see hundreds of thousands of discounts across the retailer’s assortment.
The retailer has yet again touted its many fulfillment options that include the free order pickup and drive up services, which come with no minimum purchase limit, and its same-day delivery service through Shipt.
Notably, Target will be emphasising on an early start to its holiday discounts, with a seasonal price match guarantee starting from 6 October and running all through Christmas Eve.
As of 2019, Target operates 1,931 stores throughout the US and was ranked 37 on the 2020 Fortune 500 list of the largest US corporations by total revenue.
