
Start-ups in Bangladesh have raised around US $ 90 million in investment in the first half of the current calendar year even if, of the latest investment, business-to-business platform ShopUp raised US $ 63 million followed by delivery service provider Paperfly with US $ 13 million.
This was underlined in a study titled ‘Bangladesh Startup Ecosystem 2021-22: Coming of Age’, prepared and launched by LightCastle Partners, a local management consultant.
The country’s position as a maturing start-up hotspot has also grabbed international attention, claimed the report while adding Bangladesh currently has more than 1,200 active start-ups.
