Xihe Textile Technology Bangladesh Ltd., a Chinese entity, is all set to establish a garment manufacturing unit in the Mongla Export Processing Zone (EPZ) at an investment of around US $ 12.89 million.
Media reports maintained this adding once completed, the fully foreign-owned Xihe Textile Technology Bangladesh Ltd., will annually produce around 5 million pieces of woven garments and 2.3 million pieces of knit apparels.
This unit is also going to provide employment to around 2,892 Bangladeshi nationals.
The Managing Director of Xihe Textile Technology Bangladesh Ltd., Yang Jilai and member for investment promotion of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), Ali Reza Mazid, reportedly, signed an agreement to this end recently.
