
The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association has called for more collaboration and cooperation between India and Bangladesh while adding both the neighbours had enormous scope to complement each other for the development of apparel and textile sector of both the nations.
Media reports maintained this adding BGMEA President Faruque Hassan has underlined the same during a recent meeting with former Chairman of the Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC), Narain Aggarwal, who called on the BGMEA chair at the garment makers’ PR office in capital Dhaka recently.
At the said meeting in which were also present BGMEA Vice-Presidents Miran Ali and Shahidullah Azim, both the sides, reportedly, discussed how both associations could work together to create a bridge between apparel and textile businessmen of both the countries to facilitate meaningful business interactions even as they also deliberated areas of collaboration between BGMEA and SRTEPC to identify mutual business opportunities and work to make the best use of them.
