French Connection, the UK-based clothing retailer, has unveiled its own rental service, and thus has become the first major UK brand to do so.
The rental service will not require customers to take out a subscription. This, the French connection said, would make it accessible to more customers and age groups.
The new service will be introduced by Zoa Rental, which is a white label fashion rental platform that handles operations, technology as well as logistics behind clothing rental platforms.
The items, which retail between £45 and £205, will be available to rent for 4 to 16 days and for prices between £10 and £45.
So, from now on, customers can hire apparels from the retailer’s current collections, including best-selling party and occasionwear items –and all through frenchconnectionrental.com.
French Connection was founded in 1972 and includes brands like Great Plains, Toast and YMC. The retailer recorded a £7.3 million pre-tax loss in its last annual results.
