SGS, the globally renowned and leading inspection, verification, testing and certification firm, has announced the appointment of Yvonne Tse as Vice President of its Global Softlines section.
Yvonne is not new to SGS! She has been a part of the company since 2011, when she was hired as Deputy Director of Global Softlines.
Soon she was promoted to International Business Head in 2017.
In a career spanning nearly 25 years, Yvonne – an MSc. In Marketing from University of Stirling, UK – is widely known for her expertise in global textile regulations and standards.
Yvonne’s career was at the best in Hong Kong, where she worked with a British multinational assurance, inspection, product testing and certification company for 15 years – rising to the position of Assistant General Manager in Consumer Goods.
Delighted over her appointment, Charles LY WA HOI, Executive Vice President, Connectivity and Products, said “With her passion for the environment, Yvonne will no doubt inspire businesses to reach high levels of conformity, creating solutions and services that satisfy consumer needs and demonstrate a commitment to sustainability.”
Expressing happiness and pride over her new role, Yvonne said “I have worked in the softlines business for more than two decades, helping to ensure the quality, safety and sustainability of textile, footwear and related products.”
She added that she was proud to embark on this new role and is looking forward to leading such a great global team to expand the services to new locations and markets.
