
American fashion retailer Gap’s reputed Athleta brand continues to stand out for good reasons!
After a good performance in the third quarter, which saw Athleta post a 35 per cent jump in sales, the brand now plans to enhance its inclusive sizing to 350 styles across all its collections.

While announcing the same, Gap, Inc. said that for Spring 2021, 70 per cent of Athleta’s collection will be available in sizes ranging from 1X to 3X.
In a statement released to media, the retailer said that all of Athleta’s 200 stores will include size-inclusive mannequins and racks merchandised with clothes ranging in sizes from XXS to 3X.
Besides, all 5,500 of its store associates will, reportedly, be trained in inclusive sizing.
And that’s not all! The brand now plans to increase the number of styles to 500 by March this year. It is also aiming to offer extended sizes in all its categories by the end of next year.
It is worth mentioning here that Athleta’s team of designers closely worked with active women of all body types to test each piece to ensure same design intent and fit holds across all sizes.
Last year, there were talks about Gap’s plans to double the sales of Athleta – its growth driver – to US $ 2 billion by 2023.
