
In the race to giving the best possible shopping experience to online shoppers, the American apparel e-tailer Revolve has joined hands with the software firm Donde.
Donde search technology was developed to help the shoppers click icons in order to find that perfect look – the look that ranges from length and fit of a skirt to the sleeve of a shirt.
In the traditional visual search, shoppers upload a product image they like. This is where Donde stands out! It automates the whole process and simplifies the way product is to be searched and, importantly, helps shoppers shop the way they think visually.
And retailers too can benefit a lot! They will now be able to upload new catalogue items faster and enrich their data for an enhanced discovery.
At the trial event of the new software, Revolve said in a controlled AB-test it measured statistically significant increases in conversion rates ranging from 11 to 16 per cent in their dresses, tops and pants categories.
