
US fashion retailer JCPenney Company announced earlier this week that it will be appointing Victor Ejarque Lopez as Senior Vice President (SVP) with effect from 10 June 2019.
Ejarque Lopez will also be the General Merchandising Manager of the company and will be accountable for managing and developing merchandising strategies and programmes for women’s apparels. The entire objective would be to create an amazing shopping experience for customers.
With over 25 years experience in merchandising as well as operation, Ejarque Lopez has previously served as Vice President at Guess.
During his tenure at Guess, he played a key role in enhancing the gross margin as well as increasing speed to market besides looking into buying, planning and allocation among other activities.
Expressing happiness over the appointment of new SVP, Michelle Wlazlo, the Chief Merchandising Officer at JCPenney said that his appointment fills an important part of the company’s merchandising leadership team and the company is keen to utilise his expertise in women’s apparels, which can go a long way in making JCPenney the most preferred destination for shoppers.
Ejarque Lopez will be reporting to Michelle Wlazlo.
