Addressing the media after the bilateral meet, Tasneem said a Thai delegation is expected to visit Bangladesh shortly to sort out the visa related complexities while also underlining that the aim of the trade and investment expo was to boost people-to-people communication. “We have created the platform. Now it is up to the business persons to take advantage of it,” Tasneem opined.
Jointly inaugurated by Bangladesh Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed and Thai Commerce Minister Apiradi Tantraporn, the three-day Bangladesh Trade & Investment Expo ’16 has been organised to mark 44 years of diplomatic relations with Thailand.
