
In a move to increase the company’s turnover by Rs. 70 crore, the Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (GSFC) has commissioned a Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY) Plant at Fibre Unit, Kosamba, near Surat. With an annual production capacity of 2625 tonnes, the unit will have a new polyester partially oriented yarn (POY) line with advance technology for the production of ‘Gujnyl’ to increase the production capacity and the turnover. With a High Speed Spinning Chips plant of 30,000 MTPA capacity also being installed at the plant, the turnover of Fibre Unit is said to reach Rs. 1000 crore.
