A US $ 24 million Series A fundraising round led by Andreessen Horowitz has been secured by Raspberry AI, a leading generative AI platform for fashion creatives. The round also included prominent angel investors Gokul Rajaram and Ken Pilot, as well as current investors Greycroft, Correlation Ventures, and MVP Ventures.
With the additional funds, Raspberry AI will expand its team of elite engineers, salespeople, and marketers and expedite the development of new products. Leading fashion brands including Under Armour, MCM Worldwide, Gruppo Teddy, and Li & Fung are utilising Raspberry AI to quickly develop and refine styles of clothing, accessories, and footwear.
Brands of all sizes, from luxury to mass market, can now avoid waiting three weeks or longer for physical samples thanks to Raspberry AI’s end-to-end digital visualisation platform, which also cuts down on repetitive design chores from hours to seconds.
Designers’ ideas are instantaneously transformed into photorealistic renderings by the Raspberry AI platform, which provides minute details about how goods will appear, fit, and drape in real life. Traditionally, it took weeks to wait for a real sample to arrive from overseas or several hours to make adjustments using classic photo-editing tools for common design tasks like imagining how a former best-seller would look in new fabrics. Designers can now quickly create a final depiction of any new fabrication using Raspberry AI, and they can easily create the technical drawings and files required for manufacture.
The machine learning team at Raspberry AI also works with businesses to train AI models to understand the distinctive DNA, style, and fabric libraries of their brands. In the upcoming year, the business intends to extend its gen AI skills beyond fashion into other retail categories, such as furniture and home.
