As part of its renewed commitment to advancing technology, Mango has invested in Union Avatars.
Union Avatars was founded in 2020 by Cai Felip and Jordi Conejero to assist businesses and users in giving shape to the future of digital identity. The company offers tools for users to create avatars in various styles for use on social media, virtual reality environments, and gaming platforms while also enabling interoperability of identity across the various platforms.
Union Avatars will join Mango StartUp Studio, the company’s start-up accelerator programme, through this investment, which entails providing financial support to the start-up through a convertible participation loan. Through this programme, the entrepreneurs will learn firsthand how Mango operates and will be able to scale up their business model.
As part of the curriculum, Union Avatars will also receive coaching and consultation from a range of Mango specialists in subjects including market expertise and technology as it relates to business models.
In order to produce hyper-realistic avatars for use at various points throughout the company’s value chain, Mango will continue to investigate various experimental projects.
Since its founding in 2022, Mango StartUp Studio has made a total of four investments. The accelerator has so far made investments in three companies: La Más Mona, a platform for renting party costumes and accessories; Payflow, an on-demand wage and flexible remuneration business; and a sustainability start-up that specialises in the resale of textile waste.
