At the Phygicode Impact Awards held during the WEB3 Hub’s Phygital Wednesday, a crypto-native phygital fashion brand, 9dcc, wins the ‘Phygital Brand of the Year’ award. The event, jointly organised by CV Labs and Phygicode, at The World Economic Forum in Davos, serves as a platform where leaders from diverse industries convene to deliberate on the future of politics, business, fashion, and technology.
9dcc is a fashion label created by web3 investor and influencer G-money. It reinterprets centuries-old traditions of house codes and offers a digital recreation. Each collection, collaboration, and Networked Product by 9dcc has changed the fusion of fashion and technology, reshaping the notions of community and brand engagement.
The award specifically acknowledged Gmoney’s work in ‘Networked Products’, spanning phygital luxury T-shirts and baseball caps embedded with blockchain-integrated near-field communication chips. These products foster consumer loyalty by granting holders access to a phygital ecosystem of connections and rewards. With over 5,000 “Networked Products” distributed and more than 30,000 instances of “proof of presence,” 9dcc’s impact on the fashion industry and the Web3 landscape signifies a force that continues to influence the future of fashion and society at large.
In response to receiving the award, Gmoney, CEO of 9dcc, expressed gratitude in a press statement, hailing it as a dawn of digital-first era. He said, “We are at the beginning, exploring uncharted territories, creating a future where every piece we create is not just a garment, but a key to an ever-evolving universe of exclusive experiences and connections.”
Phygicode holds an important position in the phygital discourse due to its foundation and operation by individuals who have been immersed in the phygital space since its emergence approximately 17 years ago. Teams from CV Summit and Phygicode have united to explore the latest and forthcoming technological advancements for educational purposes in Web3 and Blockchain
