It is a pleasure to present to you the latest issue of AOB which majorly contains recap of articles presented in the past year under the heading ‘The Best of 2014’. These pages have been further divided under various sections – Product Profile, Special Feature, Buyer Strategy, and Exporter Strategy. The herculean exercise has been done in the benefit of our Readers on their special demand. The issue, besides the above, also contains an interesting article on known manufacturer of non-denim – Hamid Fabrics – which began as a mere garment manufacturer and progressed to become a textile giant today. When Hamid Fabrics went public with an IPO of BDT 105 crore, it was oversubscribed 9 times, a reflection of the trust that investors repose in it. Besides the above, the issue under the ‘Resource Centre’ contains expansion plans of Vardhman Textiles, Bangladesh which has expanded its product basket to include stretch and high-stretch fabric for men’s clothing, with Modal blends not far behind.
